The Icing on the Cake
I had a quick call from my friend, Mary. She said, ‘Debs, the Holy Spirit just told me Cooee Kid’s Ministry is the icing on the cake. That’s it. God bless!’ And she hung up.
I looked up the definition of the words ‘icing on the cake’. They mean ‘something that makes a good situation even better; an unexpected additional good thing’.
I was so happy to receive that encouragement from the Lord because Cooee Kid’s Ministry is all about helping leaders and volunteers make their programs more attractive and downright irresistible. Like icing on a cake!
So, here’s the latest releases from Cooee Kid’s Ministry:
Praise God, When?
This lesson teaches children about the importance of praising God and ways they can praise Him. The Bible story of Paul and Silas in prison is the perfect example of praising God no matter where you are. And praise will release God’s power! After a praise session there’s a Memory Verse to learn using actions. You’ll find four kinds of musical games and craft ideas for children to make their own musical instrument.

The Impossible Place
Our God is all-powerful. When you find yourself in an impossible place remember to call out to God. Just like Moses did when the Children of Israel were between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea. Play a game of Power Shot to learn the Memory Verse followed by a game of Red Rover. There’s also a scientific fizzing paint technique to try for craft!

Whiter Than White
Meet Mrs Sudso, owner of the Rinse Right Laundromat, who loves washing to be clean and bright. So it’s no wonder she loves to tell children about The Transfiguration where Jesus’ clothes turned dazzling white! Have some fun with her niece Peggy who tumbles the Memory Verse and needs help hanging it out in the right order. Play a game of Towel Toss It and do some bubble painting at craft time.

Dad’s Ark
Celebrate Dads this Father’s Day (first Sunday in September here in Australia) with a look at Noah. A Dad who built an ark to save his family. Our Dad’s build an ark, too. Following God’s instructions with every prayer said, with every Bible story shared and with every visit to Church, so his kids will be saved. Play a game of Animal Sounds to match words up for the Memory Verse. There’s other games, too. Possums in the Trees and The Mice and Cheese. There’s ideas to make Dad a toolbox card, or a hammer bookmark, or use carpentry skills to make a cute echidna.

And as a further sweetener, here’s a bonus Father’s Day lesson you might like:
Super Dad
A Father’s Day superhero program that begins with an obstacle course (set it up in the backyard) followed by the story of Dad’s to the Rescue, when David and his men rescue their families who were captured by enemy forces! Daddy God came to our rescue when He sent His Son Jesus to save us. Kid’s love making a Super Tie as a gift for Dad.
