Making a Way in the Wilderness

Cooee Kid’s Ministry launched in 2018 and everything was brand new.  I wrote new lessons and a blog every week.  I learned new skills so I could navigate the dashboard of a WordPress website.   Five years later (a long time in the world of IT) the website had aged and was officially in ‘poor health’.   Nothing was operating at its full potential which meant the Gospel was not reaching as many children as it could.  Cooee Kid’s Ministry was stuck in a wilderness with so many obstacles in the way progress was impossible.

A Cry for Help

A friend at Church gave me a slip of paper.  ‘This is a Scripture the Lord gave me for you,’ she said.  It was Psalm 2:8 ‘Ask of Me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth as your possession.’  I cried out to the Lord.  ‘I ask for the nations, Lord!  I want Your word taught to children everywhere.  But how can it happen with an unhealthy website?’  I put out a call on the Cooee Kid’s Ministry Facebook page.  Was there anyone who had any expertise to help with our website?  The response was immediate.  Bev Strickland from Stricklymarketing wrote, ‘I’ve got you, Deb.  My company will build you a new website.  Message me.’  Not repair the old website.  Not even renovate it.  A brand new website.  God had heard my cry and made a way in the wilderness.

Rivers in the Desert

Within a day I was in contact with Ryan, Stricklymarketing’s Head of Design.  Ryan asked me questions about things I’d never thought of before.  Visual interface and appearance, website layout and map, and what new images I’d prefer.  Thankfully he guided me through the process with an interactive mockup and daily updates.

Shall You Not Know It?

What God did for Cooee Kid’s Ministry He can do for you!  Whether it is on a personal level or on a business or ministry level.  Cry out to Him for help.  God is faithful.  He knows exactly what you need so you don’t need to worry.  He will make a road in the wilderness.  He will provide rivers in the desert.
