3 New Easter Lessons!
Cooee Kid’s Ministry is pleased to release 3 new Easter lessons that focus on the Resurrection of Jesus.
A Midnight’s Walk
The story begins with Cleopas and his friend hurrying back to Jerusalem to tell the other believers who they have met on the road! Children learn that sadness can get in the way of seeing Jesus. Sometimes unbelief can get in the way because they don’t expect to see Him. As they walk with Jesus their eyes will be opened! There’s an opportunity to share Communion with older children. A Walk-a-thon Relay to collect words of the Memory Verse to assemble: Acts 4:33 ‘With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.’ Play a game of Camouflage Hide and Seek. For Craft children can make a Cross shaped book mark.

Will You Believe?
The story of Thomas. Jesus told him to stop his unbelief and start believing! This lesson challenges children to do the same. At Memory Verse time the children break into teams to decipher the scripture from John 20:31 ‘But these things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.’ There’s ‘stop and start’ games to enjoy and an idea for a resurrection craft.

Don’t Keep Your Distance
Staying close to Jesus is the most important thing we can do. The story is about Peter, who kept his distance from Jesus, until he saw Jesus on the beach and he was the first to reach Him.
Children will learn that keeping separate from Jesus or trying to blend into the world will only lead to heartache. The Memory Verse (Ephesians 2:13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to Him through the blood of Christ) is a Straw Relay. Play a game of Foot Golf (you read that right) and there’s an idea for a craft close to the heart, a pony bead Cross necklace.

I hope you have the opportunity to share one or all of these new lessons with the children in your life this Easter. The resurrection of Jesus is something to celebrate!
God Bless You,
